Travel DestinationsCentral America, South America,
Hi! We're a Canadian family setting off for our first long term travel trip in January 2016. Mark and I have been almost inseparable for 15 years and married for 8. We are very much the Ying to the others Yang and balance each other well. I'm a stay at home mom, and artisan. I love to work and craft with my hands. Photography and writting for a blog, are new skills I'm learning along the way. Mark works a full time job in logistics about an hour away from our town, and is a volunteer Firefighter for our community. Sydney and Luc are currently 11 and 8 and just finished up attend our local public school. We are taking a couple weeks off to enjoy summer and will be starting our adventure into homeschooling in a couple weeks. They are bright, loving, and mischievous kids. Both love swimming, arts and crafts, and videogames.
My husband and I have both become dissatisfied with our societies constant push for more material things in life and the mind numbing consumerism that is peddled to our kids on a daily basis. On tv, movies, the internet, music and print we are constantly being sold to about the next "thing" that will improve your life, give you better relationships, increase your worth, make you feel good about yourself and make others think more of you. It seems so many are blind to the fact that no "thing"' will ever do that for you. We want our kids to experience what it feels like to be free of "things" and full of actual life. We have nothing but the present and we need to use it to live life to our fullest potential. We made the decision to sell our "dream" home, sell and donate of most of our "things" and take our children on an adventure of a lifetime backpacking South America for 6 months.

Instructions to add this map to your website.
Depending on your level of expertise and the website blogging tool you are using the directions will be different. If you know HTML then the easiest thing to do would be to copy and paste the code snippet below directly into your HTML document at the correct place for your site. If you are using one of the popular blogs listed below, you can use a widget to insert the code snippet.
<img style="border: 1px solid #302722;" src="http://www.vagabondfamily.org/family-profiles/publicmap/240/450x300" />
From this code you may have noticed the option to change the height and width of the map to a maximum of 640px by 640px. You can customise the size by changing the last parameter in the image. First number (450) is width and second number (300) is height.
