Jamaica Off the Beaten Track?
My family and I have been invited on an all-expense-paid cruise which will be stopping by Ocho Rios for a day. Being herded around with hoards of tourists is not our ideal excursion so we were hoping to possibly dash off to do something ourselves. Any suggestions for what to do? We have a four year old and a one year old and love short hikes, waterfalls, views, nature and culture... We also have stops in Cozumel and Georgetown, Grand Cayman if anyone has suggestions for those.

Thanks for the tips. Gosh, that's too bad to hear about safety concerns in Jamaica - I was hoping that was just hype... but I'll have to look into it a bit more. I'll look for a glass bottom boat ride. Both our kids are non swimmers (an almost 1 year old and an almost 4 years old who is very scared of water). But the boat would be a nice activity. And maybe my hubby and I could take turns snorkeling a bit! Any recommendations for specific places to catch a glass bottom boat, either in Cozumel or in Georgetown Grand Cayman?
Hi, I'm not sure about 'off the beaten track in Jamaica' due to some safety concerns but you may consider an organized visit to Dunn's River Falls. They may be a nice treat if your family likes waterfalls. Cozumel is amazing for snorkelling with kids, perhaps take a glassbottom boat to check out the coral and plenty of amazing fish. Also most amazing diving there so if you get some babysitting try to make it:) Georgetown Barbados is nice too but not great for kids. We went there and enjoyed the markets but if you have a chance, make your way to the west coast beaches.
