15 Things to Do With Kids in Barcelona and Have a Wonderful Time Too

A new vacation spot is always something to look forward to, but having kids can be difficult when traveling. If your next destination is Barcelona, then you have absolutely nothing to worry about. This city is full of fun for all ages and wonā€™t disappoint anyone.

#1. Lā€™AquĆ rium Barcelona

With a 80m shark tunnel, over 11,000 fish, and daily activities, this aquarium is the perfect spot for a day of fun with kids. Located in Port Vell, a beautiful harbor, this is the perfect place to spend a day and afternoon with your little ones.

#2. Parc dā€™Atraccions at Tibidabo

This amusement park is a must-see for everyone, including the adults. With 25 rides, street shows, and theatre, this park will entertain everyone. Enjoy the Mina Dā€™Or water ride, or the Muntanya Russa with panoramic views of the city, then go on the Sky Walk around the Collserola mountain to get the best picture of all of Barcelona.

Another great spot for both adults and kids. No one will ever tell you they werenā€™t mesmerized by the hill of MontjuĆÆc. Even the way up is fun, your kids can enjoy a ride on cable car or funicular.

Once there, you can explore the old fortress, play games with your kids, and then go up to the very top to see a breathtaking view of the city.

An architectural and natural masterpiece, this is another essential stop. This park was built by architect Antoni Gaudi as a residential complex. Today, though, the park is open to the public and is one of the best places to have a nice afternoon outside.

With its colorful staircases and benches, this is the perfect playground for your kids. You can all enjoy a picnic outside, or an ice cream under the sun, it is also a great spot for a quick hide and seek game.

If your kids are old enough, Barcelona is the an amazing city to bike around. There are many places where you can rent bikes for the day or more.

When you rent a bike, you will also get a helmet, a lock, and a map of the city. Try biking near La Barceloneta beach, or Parc de la Ciutadella, where the streets are calmer. You can also bike through the Rambla de Mar, an amazing bridge over the water that your kids will love.

Every night at a specific time this fountain in PlaƧa Espanya will light up for a magical show that your kids will fall in love with. Make sure to head over after dinner for the perfect end to your night.

Situated immediately next to Port Aventura, make it a 2-day affair by spending another day at this water park. It is full of rides the entire family can enjoy, plus you can get a discount if you buy tickets for both parks.

Whether you come for a walk, or you want to visit the zoo, this park is full of history and fun for your kids. They will surely love the waterfall by the entrance, or the boats you can rent at the lake.

The park was built for the Universal Exhibition, but it is still a wonder your kids will want to discover.

It is never too early to get your kids started on football (soccer), and what better way than taking them to the wonderful Futbol Club Barcelona stadium?
