Tadoba Accommodation – Exploring a Fantastic Wildlife Sanctuary

Visiting Tadoba can be an experience to cherish for the lifetime. Tadoba is regarded with great esteem by wildlife lovers because of the rich flora and fauna it comprises of. It is probably among the oldest national parks in the Indian state of Maharashtra, established way back in 1935. This national reserve is located in the Chandrapur district of Maharashtra. The closest airport is Nagpur. From Nagpur, you need to head northeast and you are half way towards the amazing wildlife sanctuary. The total area of the reserve is 120 Km approximately. Step into the zone and you will be greeted with the perfect culmination of flora and fauna. The Tadoba National Park along with the Andhari Wildlife Sanctuary is commonly referred to as the Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve due to the presence of the rarest of the big cat species. The total area of Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve covers something around 625.40 squares Km.

The park is mostly covered with deciduous vegetation. It features mostly trees of dry and deciduous nature. The rich vegetation even includes sal, semal, mahua, jamun, mango, etc. Walk down the nature trails of the park and you will never forget the highly pleasurable experience you enjoy. The exotic national park is home to thousands of different bird species. In fact, you visit this place during the winter months and witness rarest of bird species flying in and around. If you are an ardent bird watcher, this is the place to visit during the winter months. You will definitely get the opportunity to observe some really great migratory birds as well as several water birds. However, this park is mostly renowned for the preservation of wild cats. Yes, it is one of the better places to witness tigers. Presently, there are around 80-85 tigers available in this park. Tiger preservation project is going on to prevent the species from getting extinct. Apart from tigers, you will also witness other wildlife species like, Indian bisons, leopards, wild dogs, barking deers, sambars, and chausingas. In fact, this national reserve is home to some endangered species like the civet, hyena and jungle cats.

Families who enjoy active sports will surely love this beach. It’s a kite-surfing paradise, stand up paddling, sailing, kayaking, and Jet Ski. Families with young children can still enjoy this beach. The beach is wide and long, so smaller kids will love playing in the long stretch of shallow waters too. You can also pitch tents, make sand castles, fly kites, and more.

You and your family can also go sightseeing and see the beautiful Pagodas nearby and sand dunes. There’s also a traditional market nearby where you can experience some of Vietnam’s rich culture.

You can visit Mui Ne anytime of the year. The rainy season is from June to September, but even during these months, the rain is relatively light.

#3 Con Dao

Con Dao is a group of islands in the Ba Ria-Vung Tau province. It offers one of the best beaches near Ho Chi Minh City. Unlike the other beaches on this list, Con Dao is not quite as “touristy” or commercialized.  It’s more preserved and serene, perfect for intimate family gatherings.

Con Dao is one of the best places to go biking because there are little traffic and pollution. You can also enjoy wildlife spotting. The kids will love to see the green turtles! You can explore the nearby islands via boats. But, if you want a bargain, find local fishers to take you around (but be sure to haggle). They’re much cheaper than boating packages.

One thing you should try in Con Dao beach is their red lobsters or fire lobsters. They may not be as big as other kinds of lobsters, but the meat is sweet and firm. It’s quite expensive, but I think it’s worth the try.

If you are thinking of traveling to Con Dao beach, consider the best time to visit. The dry season is from November to February, but the seas are calmest between March and July. Though November is dry, it can be very windy. You should also keep in mind that the hottest months are September and October.

#4 Vung Tau

This is probably the nearest beach to Ho Chi Minh City. That said, it’s quite popular and can get crowded, both with locals and expats. A great time to visit this beach is during the weekday because there will be fewer visitors than on the weekend. The sunny season is from May until around October.

Being the closest to Ho Chi Minh, you’re sure to enjoy more than just the beach. You can choose from a lot of outdoor, as well as indoor, activities. You need to be more cautious with your children, though; it can get quite bustling.

#5 Phu Quoc

Phu Quoc is an island painted with different hues of blue water with a lush green background. Find shade under your palm tree, take a dip into the crystal turquoise water, and have some fresh seafood right on the beach. Phu Quoc is truly one of Vietnam’s best.

Another great spot for both adults and kids. No one will ever tell you they weren’t mesmerized by the hill of Montjuïc. Even the way up is fun, your kids can enjoy a ride on cable car or funicular.

Once there, you can explore the old fortress, play games with your kids, and then go up to the very top to see a breathtaking view of the city.

#4. Parc Güell

An architectural and natural masterpiece, this is another essential stop. This park was built by architect Antoni Gaudi as a residential complex. Today, though, the park is open to the public and is one of the best places to have a nice afternoon outside.

With its colorful staircases and benches, this is the perfect playground for your kids. You can all enjoy a picnic outside, or an ice cream under the sun, it is also a great spot for a quick hide and seek game.

If your kids are old enough, Barcelona is the an amazing city to bike around. There are many places where you can rent bikes for the day or more.

When you rent a bike, you will also get a helmet, a lock, and a map of the city. Try biking near La Barceloneta beach, or Parc de la Ciutadella, where the streets are calmer. You can also bike through the Rambla de Mar, an amazing bridge over the water that your kids will love.

This beach is family friendly and lots of fun. Walk around to a nice restaurant for lunch, and get there by bike to make it even more fun.

Though museums are hard to sell to kids, this one is certainly a different case. With its various shapes and colors, Miró will capture your kids’ attentions and make them more interested in art. Walk around the museum and ask them to create the stories of each painting or sculpture.

Every night at a specific time this fountain in Plaça Espanya will light up for a magical show that your kids will fall in love with. Make sure to head over after dinner for the perfect end to your night.

At the word chocolate I’m sure your kids have already been sold on the idea. This steamy and gooey hot chocolate is a classic in Barcelona, add in the deliciousness of churros–a deep fried pastry that you won’t want to miss while in the city.

Another amusement park that your kids can enjoy while in Barcelona. This is the second largest amusement park in Europe, which is split into different sections for all ages. Located in Salou, Tarragona, you can take a train from Sants station and spend a day here.

Situated immediately next to Port Aventura, make it a 2-day affair by spending another day at this water park. It is full of rides the entire family can enjoy, plus you can get a discount if you buy tickets for both parks.

Whether you come for a walk, or you want to visit the zoo, this park is full of history and fun for your kids. They will surely love the waterfall by the entrance, or the boats you can rent at the lake.

The park was built for the Universal Exhibition, but it is still a wonder your kids will want to discover.

It is never too early to get your kids started on football (soccer), and what better way than taking them to the wonderful Futbol Club Barcelona stadium? Take the guided tour to find out about the all-stars who have played here and get a feel of the wonderful atmosphere when it’s time for a game, especially the “clasico” Real Madrid vs Barcelona.

You can go for a tour around this majestic theatre, or you can actually enjoy a show with the family. Have your kids stare at the ceiling and see how mesmerized they’ll be. If you want to make it more fun, go to a flamenco show for the full Spanish experience.
